October is pregnancy and infant loss awareness month. It's a time for reflection, remembrance and awareness.
However, for many loss parents this month can be extremely difficult and even triggering. Our feeds are full of photos of babies gone too soon. We read other peoples loss stories and sometimes it seems like we could have written the post ourselves.
There is so much love...but there is also so much loss. It can be overwhelming, gut-wrenching and let's face the the truth...it's extremely sad.
We want you to know that we see you. We see you if you're all about October. We see you if you can't handle it and go offline this month.
And if you are one of the loss parents that feels triggered by October, remember you are not alone. Remember that by doing what's best for you is you honoring your baby.
A huge part of what we do is spread awareness for grief being YOUR grief. It's okay to feel whatever you're feeling. It's okay to not take part in all of the October awareness posts. It's okay if you don't feel ready to share your story. It's okay if you aren't sharing your babies photos. It's okay.
So, no matter where you are in your journey of healing just know we see you and are holding your hand.
Sending love and positive energy,
Hailey Ricks
